What types of editing do you offer?

I offer several levels of editing: proofreading, copyediting, line editing, and developmental editing. Each service meets different needs, from a final polish to more in-depth guidance. If you’re not sure which is right for you, contact me and I can help you decide.

2

How long does the editing process take?

Turnaround time depends on the project type and length. Proofreading for a shorter document may take a few days, while a more involved edit could take several weeks. I’m happy to discuss your timeline and give you an estimate.

3

What’s the difference between proofreading and copyediting?

Proofreading is a final check for typos, grammar, and punctuation errors, while copyediting goes deeper and looks at structure, flow, and style consistency. If you want a more thorough review, copyediting might be the best choice. I’m happy to help you decide on the right option.

4

Do you edit according to specific style guides?

Yes. I’m well-versed in AP, APA, Chicago, and MLA style guides and can edit according to whichever you prefer.

5

Can you help with writing as well as editing?

Yes. I also offer writing services for short-form content, copywriting, and technical writing. Whether you need blog posts, press releases, social media messages, newsletters, or assistance with research papers, I can help you bring your ideas to life.

6

How do I submit my document for editing?

You can email your document along with any specific instructions or style preferences to contact@precisionpointediting.com. I’ll confirm the details before starting so we’re on the same page about what you need.

7

Do you offer revisions after editing?

Yes, at least one round. Sometimes an additional round of revisions is necessary depending on the document's complexity. I will adjust the initial estimate if we enter into multiple rounds of major revisions.

8

Will you keep my work confidential?

Confidentiality is important to me. I handle all documents with strict privacy. I'm happy to sign an NDA if you'd like some extra assurance.

9

How do you charge for your services?

Pricing depends on the type of service, document length, and project complexity. I can provide a quote specific to your document. Use the contact form below to send me your details.
